We’re Hiring!

Are you looking to be a part of a thriving, established private practice?

We might be just the place.

We’re looking for standout psychologists, accredited mental health social workers, and couples’ therapists to join our team.

Mindful Psychology is located in a quiet, tree-lined street in Woolloongabba, with onsite parking.

We offer a welcoming, tranquil and comfortable work environment that you can relax into when you walk in the front door. We’re a mindful, friendly and professional team of clinicians who provide a variety of high-quality therapeutic services to an interesting population of individuals, couples and families.

Our practice offers six consulting rooms across two levels – all rooms are professionally sound proofed, air conditioned, and thoughtfully furnished. None of the suites are adjoining, to ensure a maximum amount of privacy. We have a waiting area and kitchen on each level and a relaxed and comfortable group therapy space.

Our mission statement is at the heart of what we do:

To support and inspire individuals and groups to live a life that feels authentic and meaningful by providing the best therapeutic support, ideas, tools and techniques based on cutting-edge principles of mindfulness and psychology. We aspire to achieve this from a place of presence and compassion.

We provide therapy for all ages in a wide range of presentations.

Providing high-quality client care while maintaining a positive and supportive working environment for everyone who works with Mindful Psychology is integral to us. We understand that people who are happy to come to work are most likely to offer the best possible support to clients. We care a lot about our team members’ and our clients’ health and wellbeing, and we do everything we can to ensure optimal outcomes for all.

Our excellent support team members work hard to make things run smoothly for us all.

We have a highly skilled administrative support team (including a practice manager and receptionists) who take pride in ensuring that clients are paired with the clinician who’s best suited to their particular therapeutic requirements. We take the time to get to know each clinician’s preferred client populations and treatment modalities so that both parties enjoy the maximum benefits of their connection.

Here’s what we offer:

Culture
A close-knit and cohesive team that works and celebrates together and treats each other with respect. We hold a Team Day of Mindfulness twice annually to provide space to reflect, connect, relax and rejuvenate.

Flexibility
Choose the hours that fit best with your lifestyle. Options for employee or contractor positions can be discussed

Career progression
Pathways and support for professional development and leadership roles

Opportunities
You can be creative about offering training, workshops, groups or supervision, depending on your skills and interests

Professional Support
Regular supportive and enjoyable peer supervision meetings, and the option to negotiate individual supervision with the director or other senior colleagues

Admin Support
Full-time admin/reception staff to support you and your clients

Plus

  • A large and varied referral base
  • A progressive, innovative practice with a range of exciting projects and possibilities
  • Access to professional resources and useful templates
  • A pet-friendly environment
  • A kitchen offering snacks, various teas and coffee!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Values that include warmth, authenticity and compassion; ideally you will be a practitioner of mindfulness (personally and/or professionally)
  • A capacity to provide high-quality, reliable and consistent support to clients
  • A genuine desire to connect with others and be an active part of a team
  • Experience and confidence working independently with a wide range of presenting issues, together with a clear sense of the limits of your competency
  • Strong organisational and written communication skills
  • Eligibility for registration with Medicare (except if you are a couples’ therapist)
  • The capacity to see clients at least two days per week and at least one evening per week
  • A current police check
  • Professional and public indemnity insurance.

Your team fit and values matter even more to us than your specialised areas of training.

If you think you’d be a good match for our team, or if you have further questions, we’d love to hear from you.

Or feel free to send us your resume and a cover letter outlining your interest, and we’ll be in touch.
