Meet Betty Snell

Betty is a lovely human who likes talking to people. She believes that sitting together and talking in an honest, sincere, and authentic manner creates opportunities for growth, change, and acceptance.

Betty is an early-career psychologist but a long time mental health clinician, working across high and low acuity spaces in communities around the country. She has experience working with individuals and families from childhood to late adulthood addressing a variety of issues, from transition challenges to chronic mental illness. She has experience working within a variety of modalities, including ACT, DBT, Interpersonal Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches, and is working to incorporate Compassion Focused, Narrative and Internal Family Systems approaches into her practice.

Betty practices from an intersectional feminist perspective and approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and some silliness. She is above all things committed to creating a safe, neuro-affirming and trauma-informed space so that she can meet you where you are at.

Betty particularly welcomes the opportunity to work with people with complex trauma, dissociative disorders, trans and gender diverse individuals, and anyone who has felt that they don’t ‘fit in’ with therapy.
