Carolyn is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology who uses a person-centred, empathic and strengths based approach to promote personal growth and positive change for her clients.

Her overall approach is person centred, empathic and strengths based. She has knowledge and experience in various evidence-based psychological approaches, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Mindfulness. Carolyn appreciates that each client is a unique individual and she integrates various techniques in her work to tailor to individual needs. She brings a calming presence in her therapeutic work, and provides a safe space for clients to explore their concerns.

Carolyn obtained her Professional Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical) at Queensland University of Technology, and gained experience working in both public and private mental health settings. She works with adults of all ages, genders, cultures, economic backgrounds and sexual orientations. She supports clients in managing mental health difficulties such as mood and anxiety related issues. Carolyn also assists clients in the following areas:

Carolyn is a bilingual psychologist who is able to assist clients in Mandarin if desired. Her doctoral research explored the negotiating processes among Asian immigrant families across different life stages and ages. She also has special interests in the following areas: immigrant health, assisting young adults with navigating and exploring their possibilities in life, and supporting clients who are also coping with acute and/or chronic health issues.
