Matt is a registered psychologist who is experienced working with a diverse range of clients. He is passionate about helping people to thrive and to learn ways to create and sustain their own happiness and wellbeing.

Matt is known for his warm and engaging style in developing a therapeutic space where clients feel comfortable and safe. He takes a holistic, positive, practical and evidence-based approach to assisting clients and tailors his approach to each individual and their needs.

Matt is experienced in helping people deal with a range of issues including stress, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol problems and anger issues. He also has worked for many years as a psychologist in workplace settings and has an interest in working with people experiencing work stress, workplace conflict and other work-related challenges that may impact mental health and wellbeing. Matt has worked with people working in high stress environments including in health care, fly-in-fly-out work, corrections and offshore detention centres.

Matt is a mindfulness trainer and integrates mindfulness-based techniques into his work with clients. Matt’s own mindfulness practice and knowledge of neuroscience informs his work.
