Nazanin is a registered psychologist who prioritises providing a reflective and safe space to holistically understand people’s difficulties and support them through their journey of healing.
Nazanin provides evidence-based and person-centred treatment with an emphasis on becoming aware of patterns, fostering insight into one’s inner self and unconscious patterns of living, as well as experiencing growth and healing over time. Nazanin has a respectful, empathic, non-judgemental, and explorative approach.
Nazanin completed her Master of Clinical Psychology training at Queensland University of Technology. She has gained experience in the provision of psychological treatment for a variety of mental health difficulties within private and public inpatient and outpatient settings.
Nazanin works with late adolescents and adults from diverse cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds as well as sexual orientations. She welcomes support to all individuals who would like to seek therapy for their existing or past experiences; to learn from their experiences in a safe space where they could reflect and form an in-depth understanding of themselves.
Nazanin’s areas of interest include:
- Interpersonal and relationship difficulties
- Grief and loss
- Issues with one’s identity
- Existential concerns
- Life transitions
Nazanin believes that difficulties in adulthood and adolescence stem very deeply from one’s early experiences, which then become part of our unconscious patterns of living. She has been trained in Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and she also utilises Schema Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. Nazanin also incorporates mindfulness-based techniques and attachment-informed theories into her practice.
Nazanin is highly attuned to ethical standards for psychological treatment and values tailoring the experience to each person’s unique goals and needs from therapy. She feels privileged to be granted the opportunity to accompany her clients on their journey of growth and healing.
